*International Students*: List GPA and SAT Correlation Here:

I am not trying to generalize anything here, but it seems to me that there is rampant grade inflation in the U.S.

As international students applying to the American universities, please list your GPA and SAT here.

A 3.7 in my school, for example, is a very successful GPA and indicates a very rigorous school curriculum.

In order to verify the correlation, SAT is a factor that is often used in order to compare applicants from diverse backgrounds.

Please list your GPA and SAT here. I am very curious to see the discrepancies between a low Grade Point Average and a high SAT score.

Yours faithfully,

That is generally acknowledged. American universities are very aware of the differences in grading systems when they are making admission decisions.

Great news.

Well… I personally have a 3.8 GPA and a 2300 SAT.
A lot of students in my school do have a perfect 4.0 GPA though…

@d122002: What country are you from?

class rank and national results are generally a better predictor for international students

What if your school doesn’t rank?

Most international schools don’t rank, but you can probably get an unofficial estimated class rank from whoever is completing your school report. (Top 10%, top 25%, top 50%, bottom 50%, something like that.)

In my school we don’t have ranking system, and our GPA is calculated a bit different. So how do universities look on our GPA and non ranking system?

My school doesn’t give any GPA. I am 16th in whole country for last year’s matriculation exam. I took my SATs last saturday :)
