International Students looking to get into Ivy league

I’m an Australian international student and am trying for stanford :L
I know internationals don’t have much of a chance but just wondering how I would be considered.
For context’s sake:
I go to the 2nd best school in state, and have straight A’s. For extra curricular I am head of LGBT+ support group, community charity band, chinese cultural volunteering, event management for volunteering, school newspaper, SRC, and Youth Parliament.
Not sure if any of these extracurrirulars are good tho :L

An a fellow international applicant, your ECs seem good but it’s still a bit of a lottery and even admissions staff themselves can’t predict whether or not you would get in. Good luck though!

Well first of all Stanford is not an Ivy and you have not told us your SAT/ACT scores

Your odds as a normally competitive international are 3%. If you need significant financial aid, less than that. :frowning:

Your grades sound fine, although your ECs are a little weak. Do you have an SAT or ACT score you can share? You could be competitive if it’s over 1500 (SAT) or a 34 (ACT). But being an international applicant works against you, and if you’d need financial aid, then you’re out of luck. Your odds of admission really do max out at 5%. That’s how selective the elite universities are. (Also, just for your information, Stanford isn’t officially an Ivy League school.)
