Did everyone recieve their I-20s in the mail yet? It's already August, and I'm pretty worried cuz I don't even have mine yet :/

I remember receiving my I-20 document in mid-August, because I filed for it during a relatively late orientation session. Did you attend orientation?

Pardon my ignorance, but what is the I20 document? I haven't recieved one yet either. I am not attending orientation (also an international student).

The I-20 document is a three-page certificate that shows you're an international student who is studying full-time and able to finance his/her education. You apply for it at the OISS (Office of International Students and Scholars) at UCLA, usually during summer orientation. You need the I-20 to apply for an F-1 travel visa stamp in your passport at your country's US embassy (unless you're from Canada, in which case you don't need the stamp).

Oh I see, thanks for your help.

I understand now why I never recieved any information about this before. I am a US citizen living abroad, that means that technically I'm probably not an international student but an 'out-of-state' student. Thanks a lot for your help!

really? uh oh...but i'm attending the last orientation...does that mean i'll get it during mid-september?
haha thanks for your reply ;)

Make sure you ask OISS to mail the I-20 back to you ASAP!
