Dear CC members,

I am prospectively interested in attempting to transfer to a top US school but find myself at a bit of a loss of what my best alternatives or what my chances would be. I am an international student and I would need financial aid for most schools, factors that unfortunately are detrimental in terms of my chances. Let's hypothesize that I attend one of the best universities in my country and have stats that look something like this:

College GPA: 4.0 / 4.0
HS GPA: 35 - 37 in IB out of 45 (though at the top of the small graduating class - bad school)
TOEFL score: 110+ / 120
SAT / ACT: n/a yet (What would constitute a bare minimum for a decent chance at a good school in this context? Any estimates?)
Misc: Did a summer program at a US university, worked with teaching children English abroad, lived abroad during summers and winters during HS

I know that many top schools take in very few transfer students but I need to give it a shot. I am interested in a few Ivies and am looking for other schools which offer financial aid for internationals (suggestions?) - so far I have come up with Penn, Harvard, Yale, Cornell and tentatively Stanford and Dartmouth. I know only a very lucky few get admitted as transfers student to these schools but if I never apply to them I will never know. That aside - are there any other good schools, on the level of like Berkeley or Northwestern, that offer financial aid to internationals? I would've loved to shoot for Berkeley for example but it seems to be a really bad idea for a out-of-state and even more so for an international.

Any advice or help is appreciated tremendously!
