I am a Junior in NJ and got 226; but am an international.</p>
<p>Does that mean I am excluded from any possible merits,
or do I at least get commended?</p>
<p>Non-US students are not eligible for the National Merit program, except in the case of a permanent US resident who plans to become a citizen.</p>
<p>There are other merit scholarships available to non-US students that are not based on NM recognition.</p>
