internationals: did neone get the email yet?

so whats happening.. i fell asleep... this is all getting so boring..
still have 2 more to hear from..
yawn

No but everytime I check the mailbox it freaks me when there're new messages...

I am in Asia too. Still have 3 more to hear..but chicago is my top choice. Anyway, all the best!

i suspect that "email notificiation" does not actually exist..
rejections also come in the mail...
i think if we haven't gotten any mail by now, it means that it is a rejection. acceptances are couriered so they are faster.

I don't think so, silver_wavez...seeing as how none of the intls have gotten any decision yet, I don't think that means rejections all around.

I just checked the FedEx and US Postal Service websites...according to them, if Chicago took the basic int'l shipping option for packages under 4 lbs., it takes 4-6 days on average to mail them outside the U.S. So hopefully we'll have them by Monday latest.

yeah... i checked that too...
if chicago uses international priority ..it should reach us on around Saturday (3 days) ... if international economy... then around monday ?

well... i guess it also depends which country also

but their would have used international priority rite ?

They would have fedex/UPS/DHL/whatever other company-ed the acceptances.
So if they sent it on 29th.. It should be hear by now.
I got NYU by DHL (sent on 29th) and it got here yesterday.
Rejections and waitlists come slower by normal snail mail.

I'm sure Chicago couriers their acceptances.. we should have heard by now.

Again, I don't think so. 4-6 days seems to be the standard, and you're telling me that ALL of the intls on the forum were rejected? That would be an incredible statistical anomaly for Chicago. Stop putting everyone down, once again, 4-6 days is FedEx and USPS' standard.

So is it true they aren't going to send bad news email...last year they did, and it was on the 30th I think.

If they're going to sent them, they want all internationals to get the news (no matter rejected/accepted/waitlisted) the very same day?

i am not putting everyone down, just think it is really weird that we haven't gotten it yet.
and didn't chicago say that they'd send rejections and waitlists by email.. has anyone got one ?

Chicago didn't say they would send e-mails. That was a rumour floating around based on EA experiences (I believe).

Anyways, I got my deferral snail mail a whopping week after Chicago mailed stuff out...and I live in Canada. While it was a deferral, I don't think the fact that no intl's have gotten decisions yet means much, one way or the other.

Alright then. so the email thing was a rumour right?

I guess we'll just sit put and wait
good luck jpps!
