Internationals for MIT, PRINCETON, HARVARD

roby which int'l school are u at?

hey..I got deferred from Columbia ED and sent my apps to those three schools for RD as well.. Um..I'm kinda international cuz my school's in New Jersey, and so I compete with New Jersey applicants, not with int. applicants. Yup..it sucks..lol

For those applying RD to harvard, have u all had interviews yet?

nop.. no interviews yet

mine is on saturday

they have an asterisk by South Korea..guess no interviews then
but that's strange because i know of some korean harvard applicants who had interviews...
what's happening? callthecops, you're applying for harvard too right?

goodluck axfr...

i suspect that means they selectively interview in south korea jwlee...

my interview's on friday, and the person wanted me to come to his house...i bet it's a mansion.. haha.. (cuz the town where my high school's located has many many wealthy ppl..lol)

Jeez, i'm already nervous~

jwlee. - no im not applying to harvard. its pretty much a well known thing that they dont admit students with less than 1400 unless they have found a cure to AIDS or something. I tried my hand at Princeton, and Im waiting to get a call for an interview

axfr, which country are u from?

Do you have a better chance to get admitted if you appy ED at Princeton or RD?

And is there anyplace to look where all the internationals admitted persons are coming from? I am Dutch, so I am curious how much people get admitted or applied from my country

hey trinya,

im from france mit hopeful. how about you?

gunning for archi so WU, Cornell, Princeton are some hopefuls, IIT also (that's the one in Illinois)

From Singapore (as you can see in my profile) - if you're not selected to be interviewed when your country's listed with an "*", does that mean your chances of getting in are slim?

How cool axfr - you're from France! I learnt French for 4 years... took the GCSE O level French exam 2 yrs ago=)

i had my interview today and it was pretty cool (harvard). i think it went well. the interviewer and i were on the same wavelength concerning various issues. she told me that i was good harvard material and that she thought i would do well at harvard :D. then again, i don't know how important the interview is. mine lasted 1h40. we held it in a caf

congrats! looks like ul proabably be getting in!

lol i don't think so... the adcom knows that an interview isn't entirely objective, a lot depends on both interviewer and interviewee's personalities and how they hit it off... but still, it can only help :D
