Its not about my jibe, its about misleading Class '13 -_-

Eh? How am I misleading people?

What gave you the idea that NYU was generous but turned out crappy when Intls really applied? :D

Misleading might be a wrong word there, though. :)

Oops :).

OK, correction - just don’t apply to NYU if you need fin aid. Period. They don’t dole it out, so people (obviously) don’t ask. It’s one of those facts of life :D.

Ok I don’t think anyone has a grudge against any particular college. But there could be some misunderstanding or wrong information about one. Thanks ajayc for your determined effort to prove NYU and UoR innocent..Just kidding :)

Schools like NYU, Rice, Emory, Carnegie Mellon, state unis will want you to verify that you can pay before they will consider your application.

Though, Rice does provide a full-tuition scholarship to internationals.

YOU: How is that visa problem coming along?

I thought CMU didn’t provide aid to internationals?

(please don’t jump on me if I wrongly worded their policy)

^yea.. CMU don’t give aid (that’s what I said haha)

I didn’t know Rice gives scholarships to intels.. Ajay.. mind you give me the link.. I’m just interested in knowing haha.. I can’t apply anymore anyway

Ajay: I am emailing the us embassy of another country.. depending on their response, I may go back to the embassy to ask them to correct the mistake, this time with my uncle.. I think I still look like a ‘child’ (yea.. I’m going to college but I’m darn short).. that the guy dismisses me easily..

Good luck with that YOU

and here is the link [Rice University | Prospective Students](http://www.futureowls.rice.edu/futureowls/Merit_Scholarships.asp?SnID=1129435768)

There is a spreadsheet somewhere around that lists how much aid each school gives. Somewhere.

^Thanks a lot. Good luck for your visa too!

You’re headed to Rice? Nice. :)

^I am not heading to Rice.. when did I say so?.. I am heading to Swarthmore!! (30 mins train ride from Rister’s school)

The schools I mentioned (CMU, Rice and stuffs) are those that I didn’t apply to because I can’t never afford them.. I needed nice money to attend college..

Oh sorry :). Anyway, Swarthmore’s cool too!

How a college treats international financial aid candidates also depends on which country the student is applying from. A college may be generous towards international financial aid candidates from some country but terrible towards ones from others. In my perspective, the worst were UPenn, Cornell, UChicago, Yale, and Johns Hopkins.

LOL! Now that’s a definition of Swarthmore I like!

And I am at a college that allows me to take classes at Rister’s and YOU’s schools.

Guys, we should totally take a class together
(Preferably at Rister’s school because it seems to be the most generous with grades :D)

Pwned!!! :D

Another definition of Swarthmore- the school with a lower admission rate than Rister’s school in 2008. (haha, jkidding, I know some parts of UPenn are harder to get in than others)
