Internet Service Provider in Apartments?

<p>What ISPs and internet services are you guys using? I'm moving into an apartment on North Side and I'm fairly certain there will be no active phone line in the room.</p>

<p>DSL supposedly does not work without an active phone line (with a dial tone). I was thinking maybe comcast cable, but I'm not sure its in the area.</p>

<p>Has anyone else dealt with this situation? Did you end up subscribing to a phone line? What kind of internet service do you use off campus?</p>

<p>You will have to share, unless you're loaded. The easiest solution would be comcast, but it's riduculously expensive. Check with the tenants of that apartment in particular.</p>

<p>comcast is in the area, but they're a bunch of a-holes. but just be stern with them.</p>
