internship/job gpa question

Ok, so I just transferred into an engineering program. This is my first semester as a mechanical engineering major and im doing pretty good so far. My question is when I have in interview for an internship/job do I have to give my whole gpa (old school + new school) or can I just give my new school gpa (engineering gpa)? Thank you.

If you list the schools separately, you can list the GPA’s separate. If you want to put them together, put Cumulative GPA. If you only want to put the current school and that is what the school has for your GPA, just list that GPA. As long as it’s honest…its ok.

Cumulative GPA does not imply that it is combined from multiple schools. Either you should list the two schools separately with their respective GPAs, or you can list only your current school. You should not combine GPAs from two schools into one number.

Why not? That’s how college admissions generally calculates cumulative gpa for admissions.

^Exactly. And the word cumulative is the identifier for that.
