Hello Guys,

Im new to this forum and I would really like some advice on Interning abroad.

Last year I interned in a cool creative agency in New York, and this year i really wanted to gain an internship experience in London... I love the city and have a few friends over there.

I applied via an internship provider ie. Dream Careers/Global experiences and gained a really great offer in a media agency but my visa was rejected 6 weeks ago. The internship was unpaid and apparently in the UK there is legislation preventing unpaid internships for international students..... I havent really had any help from my provider and instead got my money back.

I know that US students enter the UK on unpaid internships so i was wondering if anyone on here could shed some light as to how this is possible and how i could get around this for next year? Its a real shame as i had my heart set on London.

There must be some students who have been through Dream Careers or Global experiences and can tell me how their visa was passed or how the company arranged it.

Any advice or help would be much appreciated!!

Many Thanks,
