I am an incoming sophomore in high school looking to obtain an internship this winter, spring or summer in investment banking. I have no work experiences. Does anyone know of any banks that have internships available to high school students? I want to put a resume together although, I might as well send a blank sheet of paper. Does anyone have advice?
I understand, I probably should look when I am in college. But, ill never know if i don’t ask.
Internships don’t get offered to HS students, unless the parents have some connections.
Companies are not going to waste their time with students who aren’t even confirmed to go to college and aren’t ready to be hired for a fulltime job within a few years.
Thanks for the information!
There are a few programs geared towards minority students.
^ not in IB though.
In banks, yes. (look into the difference between IB, consulting, finance, banks. If you’re fine working for a 'savings ’ bank over the summer it’s a possibility - just go ask the banks in your town.)
Really, I had no idea! Thanks for the advice it helps lots!
It’s more than your neighborhood savings bank:
