Can anyone please share their experiences with acquring GWU while at GWU? I know it has an amazing Career Center that hooks you up with internships during the Fall and Spring - while most college students go up to D.C in the summer and thus there's more competition.

It's definitely nice that there's less competition, but I was looking on Amnesty International's site, and while I am totally psyched at being in the same city as their main headquarters, and interning for them would be incredible, they say they expect their interns to work a minimum of 35 hours, excluding scheduling concerns.

So...I guess that is more for summer interns. It just made me worried that if you're interning 6 - 15 hours a week instead, does it still make a difference? Open doors for post-graduate employment? Or is it just a good educational, enriching experience? (which I imagine it must be)

Just want to hear people's experiences! Thanks
