I'm trying to decide what type of internship I want to start this summer and continue doing during the school year. So I was wondering what is better: doing something that doesn't exactly look "good", but you want to do it for the experience, or doing something you think would look good on a college application.

-for example, working with a professor in a lab, or working with children at a preschool, per say.
What do ya'lls think?

At my high school, as seniors, we received the opportunity to choose to intern somewhere for the last month of school. I chose to do something that I thought was going to be real easy, interning in an IT department. Heck, it was the most boring month of my life.

do something that you're passionate about. Something that you'll love doing for the whole summer. I suggest going in and trying out a day with the people who you think you want to intern with. If that doesnt work out, dont do it!
