<p>There is this center that I'm really interested in interning at and later working at.<br>
Do you think it would be worth it just to volunteer there first at random events before I apply for an internship? Could it give me a boost? The volunteering would take up a significant amount of time, so I don't want to jump into it if it's not worth it.</p>

<p>I am not too sure, I don't even know if the internship is competitive or something they just give out to anyone who asks either. </p>

The real reason I want to volunteer is to land an internship at this place (local). This internship could give me even more of a boost which could help me get a more prestigious yet competitive internship that I REALLY want later.</p>
