Who's the easiest professor for 76-101??

Many of them change topics and/or the professor changes each semester. A lot of the interp professors only teach one semester, too, so the interp sections will be pretty different second semester I think.

Heresay from S-- but he still has to take it in the spring and just mentioned when we spoke last week about courses that he heard from some of his friends taking the “reality tv” topic that they have significantly less work/reading assignments than the friends who “got stuck” with the “cookies/eating” topic that dominates this year.
That was his plan for next semester-- find the guy who taught that topic and hope it fits with the other required courses. He heard they get assigned a tv show to watch and then they talk about it in class.

The class is supposed to be just the three assignments-- but in reality, get a punchy doctoral student trying to catch someone’s attention and you could be screwed with lots of smaller weekly stuff eating up time. Now if you like writing, then heck- that’s for you-- clearly there are students who enjoying writing.

Avoid C is for Cookies if you don’t want to talk about eating healthy/organic food all the time.

Avoid the Urban one if you don’t like tons of quizzes and an intense professor.

Like somebody said, the Reality TV one is usually pretty easy.

That’s all I got.

I actually took the Documentary in “Reality” Culture section, and I wouldn’t say that it’s easier, just that the course material is different. Rather than lots of readings, we had a few select readings and then had about 8-9 viewings of documentaries and reality TV programs. It may seem like this is a breeze, but I had to become accustomed to watching those types of programs really critically and taking notes while I was watching similar to a class reading, since we had to write papers on nearly every viewing and tie them in as evidence during the big papers. The biggest thing in Interp is to find a subject that you’re interested in and can become passionate about, especially since you have to do a big research/contribution paper at the end.

The professors don’t matter all that much. Try to get into a section about a topic you find interesting. The topics and professors change from semester to semester.

Try to get Salita Seibert. She’s awesome.
