Im applying to Yale and just submitted all of my forms (the 30th according to Yale time), which is just two days before the actual deadline. Does this mean I won't get an interview because people who submitted it before me will? Im really stressed that my lateness will cause me a lack of an interview. Is this true? Can other people at my school who submitted it earlier get an interview and I not?

Also, the interviewers directly contact you, right? You just submit the Common App, Payment, and Supplement and they will send you the Eli Account through mail and an interview offer through e-mail, correct?

First, congrats on getting the app in (how is Oct 30 considered late?.) Second: relax about the interview. Read the sticky thread "RD Applicant advice". You'll be offered an interview if you live in an area where there are sufficient alumni volunteers. Interviews aren't given out necessarily based on order of completed apps. For example: your name might be forward to alum "Bob". Bob has some out of town work for the next three weeks. He doesn't call or email you until he gets back. You interview a week later. Your classmate "Susie" gets her stuff in on Oct 31. She's assigned to an alum who's a retiree. He calls her next Wednesday and they sit for coffee on November 8th.

It's just serendipity coffee. AND, it's the part of your overall file that is given the least weight. It's optional and plenty of information is considered even for those who don't have interviews.
