I just scheduled my Alumni interview today, and it's my first college (or, actually, real) interview. Anyone have any advice or have positive recounts of their interviews?

I can't speak for other schools, but the most important thing for an alumni interview with WashU is enthusiasm. It's not as important to run through a list of activities, challenging courses, etc, as it is to talk about those that really interest you, what you've learned from them, etc. It's also important to show your interest for WashU, especially beyond "well, it's a top tier school and has a good XYZ department...". Hope that helps!

also, be really relaxed...people like that.

I had my interview last week and it went very much like my previous ones.
The man who interviewed me was very friendly.
I tried to show my interest by talking about how WashU was one of the few schools I found that offered a robotics minor.
Most of his questions were about school and my activities.
One thing that surprised me was that he didn't jot down any notes during our talk (didn't have a notepad like my other interviewers).

Hey, I went to the website and tried to schedule an interview this Monday; I still haven't heard anything yet. How long does it take to hear back usually?

Thanks!
