I have an interview at Wesleyan tomorrow, and I wanted to know if anyone has tips, specific or general. Thanks!
General tips for interviews (I have done 5 so far):
- Start with a smile and a firm handshake. Address them with Mr./Mrs (last name) unless told otherwise.
- Don't ever give yes or no answers- elaborate on the how and why
- Be genuine
- Think of it like you're just having another conversation
- Dress appropriately (and, in my opinion, be on the conservative side- you don't want an admissions officer remembering you for your clothing choice)
My kiddo interviewed with a senior student working in admissions.
Come prepared with at least 2 or 3 solid questions - stuff that can’t be answered by looking at the school’s website.
Relax, be conversational and enjoy yourself!
