Interview for College of Human Ecology?

I just got an email from an alumna asking me to meet for an interview but I didn’t schedule one, nor did I think they required interviews… I didn’t prepare for any interviews because I didn’t want to do them, so what am I supposed to do? How do I prepare?? I am freaking out now a little bit because this is totally unexpected.

I checked their website and it says nothing about human ecology interviews… Also the interview is with someone who works in my city government so I am a little scared

I also applied to the College of Human Ecology and was contacted for an interview. From what the interviewer has told me in the e-mails we have exchanged, it is merely an informational conversation about Cornell. Nothing too specific about the College itself and I don’t believe you need to do any extensive prep-- but a few questions will never hurt!

These are just informational interviews — my friend who’s a young alumna does them for Arts & Sciences. It’s an opportunity for you to ask questions about Cornell/Human Ecology/the specific program you’re interested in, etc. Be polite and professional, but don’t stress about it!
