I felt I was ready for an adventure, so I ventured upwards into the day.

I have since receded into the sands. I burrow and it is okay. It is warmer underground. Sometimes I leave and I travel and I cannot find my home again. Then I burrow again and it is still okay.

There is water, when you burrow.

I like Curiosity. He has not noticed me but I have been watching. I think he will become more like me, in some billion ages, and we will burrow together. He seems lonely, sometimes. I think he misses home.

Awful. So cold. So dusty. I am told it is warmer in the places you have been to.

Is LSD involved here?

Those that burrow the deepest are often the happiest.

Of course not. That would be so much worse.

Happy happy cozy warm. :)

Here’s my honest answer…

I like a good challenge. Plus I’ve never lived on the east coast before. MIT seemed to be the best fit for me.

Pretty expensive either way, it’s Boston.

Also expensive. My first consideration in picking dorms was to pick a dorm that does not require the meal plan.

Eric Lander and Michael Artin are two of my favorites.

Cold, snowy. Autumn and spring are pretty nice though.

Lidusha, you’re the best person.

Thank you MITer94. I appreciate you very much!!

The MIT weather: The winter is way too cold, the summer is way too hot, the spring is way too rainy. The autumn is lovely.

Questions 1: Culture, opportunities like UROP, I would be lying if didn’t say prestige.

Question 2: It’s up to the person I think. Since I’m a freshman I can’t tell you about off campus housing much but the dorms are decent.

Question 3: Meal plans are a waste of money
Question 4: mm not sure
Question 5: Love MIT location, it’s next to most thing if not there are shuttles. Weather is okay for now but it would be freezing in winter.

It will indeed be freezing in winter.

Spirit, is that you? Trapped in the Martian sands?
