<p>I looked at last year's result thread and pretty much everyone had an interview. However, when I look at the website, it says interviews are only required for certain schools and they do not grant interviews for other schools. Has there been a shift in the policy? </p>
<p>I think the interviews you read about are those conducted by alums in the same geographic area as the applicants. On-campus interviews are not required or offered by most of the colleges at Cornell. Hotel requires one and I believe Human Ecology suggests a group info session that is not really an interview. Confirm via the admission page of the school to which you plan to apply. You cannot request an alum interview; someone will contact you after your application has been filed, assuming an interviewer lives in your area.</p>
