so, by now, no news from BU is bad news right? :(

gvadivelu- uconn cpim already sent out interview notifications… they have two dates (2/20) and (3/6)…so i think if you didnt get one then you didnt get in

sweetea- i called up the bu people…they said if you aren’t notified by the end of february (less than a week left to go) then you most definitely didn’t get an interview…same boat as you

Sorry , sweetea, yes, BU is likely out as it is v late. However, do not despair cuz the normal MD route is still wide open for dedicated, smart and diligent individuals.
To St10000, no one can assess your chance for plme or R/Baylor. What imma saying is part of the reason for bsmd is to relieve stress and encourage you to do ecs or academic areas outside medicine, hence i see no point r’lly of the WUSTL which has such formidable criteria.Honestly with the best effort no one can guarantee you perform at 3.8/36 as an undergradaute. I read about MIT, Berkeley and CalTech where the best HS students barely hang on to their 3.5+ gpa, so it’s kinda stressful for WUSTL med scholars unless they dish out As easily. An alternative is in some colleges they award 4.3 for A+ which kind of compensate for a couple of Bs ( 3.0) so 3.5+ is more achievable – i do not know if that’s the case at Wash U–ask the scholars there!

For most applicants the Wash U program is not worth it, but if you are extremely talented/motivated and you really want to go to a top ranked program, it might be worth it since top programs routinely reject applicants with 3.9+ GPAs and 36+ on the MCAT.

I have just called UConn to find out the status of my CPiM application. Admissions staff have told me that CPiM interview notifications are not going out for atleast another 3 weeks. I am not sure what exactly people are talking about UConn CPiM interview calls.

manarr14, I’m pretty sure UConn emailed all of their CPiM interview invitations a few weeks ago. No news at this point is probably bad news, sorry. Try contacting Dr. Sanford, the dean of the medical school who sent the interview emails. You can find his contact info here: [B.A./B.S. and M.D. Program at the UConn School of Medicine](http://medicine.uchc.edu/prospective/admissions/babs_md/index.html)

Um, is the umdnj interview notification through snail mail or email or phone? I interviewed for tcnj a week ago and still hasn’t heard back.

UMDNJ interview notification comes thru snail mail (need to call them after receiving snail mail and make an appointment on a specific date)

does anyone know when we find out results for drexel med programs? i would have asked that thread, but it seems kinda unresponsive over there. =)

zaara: about a month from now

@ ctag912 and meeeesh, are you guys sure that 2/20 and 3/06 were the only interview dates? Because when I called the admissions office, they said that CPiM interview notifications would be given out in about 3 weeks.

This month will determine my life based on the decisions I get from BS/MD programs. March 2010 will break or make me.

No big deal. It’s all good.

hey, march? isnt that a bit early? doesnt most of the programs come out april? which ones come out march?

btw, it will completely break me…even rip me to pieces may be. lol

Hi.

Can someone tell me when interview notifications are sent out for rice/baylor?

Thanks!

you should sift through the forums for this already answered question. consensus is late march/early april since rice has to admit you first

Had DrexelDrexel and Leghigh/Drexel (combined one interview) on March 6.

has anyone who had TCNJ first interview received anything from UMDNJ? If so, how long did that take? It’s been 3 weeks and I still haven’t heard anything from UMDNJ yet.

just got an interview for ohio state’s med program via email on april 5

How is everyone holding up?
I’m waiting to hear from HPME, PLME, and UMKC. I want to know!
