I applied ED and got deferred, I did not get an interview. But recently I remembered an alumnae I met at an Exploring College Options Program with Penn, Harvard, Gtown and Duke. I told her and my regional rep about me being in a rural part of FL and that no alumni were in my district. The alumnae gave me her card and I emailed her last week, she said she will get me an interview for the RD round definitely. Do you think that an interview could help reverse my deferral? I feel I was a borderline deferral from what my regional rep told me.

Well, wouldn't it depend on how strong your interview was? I don't think the interview is a large part of the criteria that Penn looks at, but if you did great it certainly could help
