What are questions you have been askedin interviews? Mine are coming up soon...

The most important question for which you need to have a thoughtful answer is: “Why do you want to go to ___ School?”

Do a search for “interview” or “interview questions” in this forum. There have been some excellent lists posted . . . you just have to look for them.

I didn’t see any when I looked… But I’ll chel again thanks!

Well, the trick is to do an advanced search for threads with the word “interview” in the title . . . and limit it to the prep school admissions forum. Then wade through the MANY pages that come up, looking at each thread that seems promising.

But, having just done that, I’ll be darned if I can find the really helpful thread I remember from a few years back! I know it’s there . . . somewhere.

I’ve sent you a PM.

Here’s a thread from last year:

Thank you so much @dodgersmom and @sevendad!! This is really helpful!

finished 4 interviews and the most common questions were related to your current schools sports music arts and what you like about their school

At both schools I’ve interviewed at so far they’ve asked me what clubs I’d want to participate in if I were to go to the school. They also asked what my favorite subject was.

After 6 interviews, the question that was always asked was, “How did you find out about (school name goes here), and why do you want to go to (school name goes here)?”

“What others schools are you applying to?” and “What makes you special?”. Very generic x)
