Interview Request, no reply?

Hi,
I'm looking to applying EA to MIT this year. I emailed the EC listed on my my.mit website Sunday afternoon. It's been about 5 days now, and still no reply. Should I resend the email, or just wait a little longer?

Wait a little longer; my son’s interview was constantly moved and rescheduled.
Don’t be surprised if you start out with one interviewer, then get switched for alumni who are available to interview you.
Son ended up in a face-to-face interview, with someone who worked for my husband, on a lower tier, and none of the parties knew until after the interview, (discovered at my DH’s work) so they made my son re-interview claiming they lost the information.
Son was waitlisted and then rejected.

Speaking as a regional international chair of the MIT Educational Council, the first two weeks of September is a tricky time of year. Every year during the summer we write to all of our EC’s asking them to let us know about anything that can affect their ability to interview, and every year, some EC’s wait until now to let us know. One of the ECs in my region is expecting a child in October; she will not be interviewing this year. Another has just been sent abroad for three months for work. All of their students will need to be reassigned. But all of their students will be interviewed, and the reassignment will ultimately be irrelevant. I went on annual vacation the first week of September. Two students wrote to me on my first day away and did not get a response for just shy of a week. It happens. I usually advise waiting for a week and then if you haven’t heard, writing to interview@mit.edu to report it. It is unfortunate, but not a crisis. Sorry if it is stressing you.

@Mikalye‌ Ok, thank you.
