"Interview requests for Early Action are now closed."

Interviews | The University of Chicago College Admissions

Uh oh. Today I was scheduling my college interviews and then I saw this on UChicago's page... I likely can't make a trip to Chicago for an on campus interview because my parents would never let me; am I screwed for Early Action at UChicago now? I wish I had checked sooner.

It may be that this is still up from last round and, in fact, they are not yet open?

^That’s probably it.

yea im pretty sure i scheduled mine in october or november last year

I would be surprised if they are closed, probably not up yet. I would not sweat it either way, though. My D was accepted last year EA without interviewing at all.

Just to second what was said - I was accepted without signing up for an interview at all. Its definitely not make or break
But you have most definitely not missed any major deadlines, dont worry!

Seeing as you can’t yet submit an application, I highly doubt you’d be able to schedule an interview.

man, this school is introducing some hyperselective policies =P

peter1412: You can actually start signing up for On-Campus interviews, but not Alumni Interviews.

Regarding Alumni Interviews, straight from UChicago’s website: Available starting in December 2013, these interviews serve as an opportunity to have a casual conversation about the University of Chicago…Applicants may express interest in an interview via the UChicago Account after they have submitted their application.
