So I’m getting ready to have my interview this weekend, can anyone here give me a little advice regarding what kind of questions have been asked in the past?
Doest the interviewer make up the ?s or are there required questions for her to ask?

There is not a standard set of questions, and interviewers take different approaches to the interview (something I myself am discovering here on CC -- you might want to look at a discussion happening right now in the parents forum on interviews).

In general, the interviewer wants to know your reasons for applying to Brown; evidence of your intellectual curiosity (NOT your SATs or GPA, but what you've done to show you love the process of learning); what you do outside of the classroom and what interests, talents, or experiences you would bring to the Brown community. Interviewers are asked to discuss our impressions of your personal qualities -- how you would be as a roommate, classmate, lab partner, etc.

The interviews are conducted local to the student by Brown alumni who volunteer to do this work for the school. We heard from the Brown alum directly with a suggested date, time and place for the interview. Likewise with another school on our application list.

You might contact the Brown admissions office to see if you can get hooked up with a local Brown alumni for the interview.

And yes, the interviews are not required and are mostly informational. However, if you look at the link I posted in my last note on this thread, you'll see the that alumni interviewer is certainly being asked to provide his/her "opinion" on whether or not the applicant would make a good addition to Brown and/or fit in there.
