i have an interview on friday (i know it’s after dec. 1, but i guess it’s alright, and it’s my first interview)

for everyone else, it seemed as if the interviewer didn’t ask for anything.

however, my interviewer asked me to email him my grades, classes, sat scores, and extracirriculars prior to our meeting. he said that he wished he didn’t have to but harvard asked him to have it when he interviewed me. he needed it for the form or something.

did anyone else encounter this?

i guess it can’t be too bad as if they had already rejected me, they wouldn’t have asked the interviewer to ask for all of my stats.

but no one else on the cc board seemed to have interviewers who asked for such specific info (maybe i’m wrong on this). especially because he said that he needed it for his writeup.

I had my interview a few hours ago today. He asked me my SAT score and how my scores were in general. He did not ask for specifics beyond the SAT score and my current classes.

mine asked for pretty much the same stuff but did so at the beginning of the interview. Your person just probably wanted them early so he/she could skip having to ask you the boring stuff during the actual interview.

but do the have to report them? I mean is there any page on their report that they should write your scores? Why would they want to do that since there is a place on application that asks you? Doesn't seem right...

The interviewers are supposed to turn in an information form with their report. Apparentally it goes to the local Harvard alumni association so that if you're admitted and attend the local Harvard newsletter can run a brief bio on incoming freshmen.

I encountered something like that, Nathalie. My interviewer emailed me a "Local Interview" form to fill out that asked for everything my application had asked for, with the exception of essays. Apparently everyone who lives in the Washington area is supposed to fill it out, but my friend didn't receive it. Weird.

I think that I did OK, but I'm sure that even if I did miserably, my interviewer would still say that I did a great job. So... I'm not sure what to feel now.
