INTERVIEW

what are they going to ask me? i'm so nervous

There is no reason to be nervous. Interviews are generally very low key and conversational. Often they are used to sell the applicant on Wash U. Just be yourself and you will do fine!

My interviewer interviewed people for a living lol so that was pretty interesting. Anyway in the begining she talked about herself then asked me to talk about myself and explain why I wanted to go to washu. Afterward she closed the interview by asking if i had any questions. I asked her the following questions: “what was the best moment you had at washu and what did you hate about washu”. She said that no one has ever asked her those questions before and that she was glad I had so you might want to use those questions. Also washu takes into account the applicants demonstrated interest so in the interview make sure you explain why you’re so interested in the school! But overall it is really low key (like the other guy said). It was very conversational and I wasnt nervous at all.

P.S. I dont know if this is important or will influence the validity of my response but I ended up getting in!

I didn’t interview, but I’ve heard that the WashU interviews are pretty standard, shortish, and conversational. I actually know someone who conducts interviews. They aren’t going to make or break you as long as you don’t talk about wanting to go to X college or complete banalities.
