interview

Does the length of the interview really matters?

No, it doesn't.

it's just that normally a good interview takes longer because there is camaraderie and good conversation between interviewer and applicant. almost as if the applicant and interviewer have a lot to talk about and interest in keeping up that conversation.

normally a longer interview also leaves a more lasting impression or so i would think according to common sense.

Too long isn't good though. As long as there's good flow (meaning your interviewer doesn't have to pry information out of you), a longer interview is good. Some interviewers are in a rush though and some have lots of free time. Imagine yourself as an interviewer and ask what you would feel afterwards if you had just learned all you did from a stranger. The interviewer is the one who makes you look better/worse.
