Interview

I didn't find out about Grinnell until after the deadline for scheduling the interviews already passed... Do you think that significantly will hurt my chances?

If you live within driving distance-say an hour or so-and didn’t interview, it does suggest a lack of serious interest. Otherwise, I wouldn’t worry about it. There are many ways to show interest, including telling them straight up that you would love to attend. And of course, it’s not too late to call the admissions office and say you’d like an interview even if it is after the deadline. That too shows interest, even if they can’t accommodate you.

I agree with M’s Mom. Find some way to show interest. If nothing else, do a lot of research about the school so you can articulate why Grinnell is a good fit for you and vice versa.

You should call the school and see if you can schedule one. They are very flexible and might be able to give you an interview.

I live about 15 hours away from there.

Their Admissions Office is closed until the 4th :(
