Interviewing...?

Hey I assume this gets asked a lot but I'm a really overly nervous person and sometimes I worry too much about stuff. I am planning on applying to a couple reach schools next year, and I read that interviewing is important, especially for people like me who need to convey interest because of a fairly weak application. I have no hook on mine as of now, so I was wondering whether or not it would be better to interview and freak out and make a bad impression or to not interview at all but do whatever else I can to show interest. (Not saying that I wouldn't make a good impression but I have already interviewed for other stuff and messed up XD).

Some people may not understand, reading this, just how freaked out I get. And it isn't even really that I am nervous about just stuff, but extremely self conscious which is like a pipeline to being nervous so same difference really. I just am worried that I will go in and an interviewer would start off by asking me about what my hobbies are, and deep down I know my EC's are weak, so it would be hard for me to make the most of what I DO have. I know that the interviewers are likely very nice and supportive, but to make a bad impression might just hinder my chances or over-worry me about something that isn't meant to be over-thought and just a chance to meet me and show interest.

This just came to my mine, I actually don't even apply to colleges for another 9 months or a year lawl :p

You have time to develop some confidence in you then. If I was you, I’d start thinking better of myself in terms of hobbies and all that stuff. If you do something and you like doing it then that automatically makes you interesting, imo. It’s just a matter of conveying it like you said. This is simple. You have goals in life obviously or further interests in colleges and just relate how your extracurriculars are relevant and such. I understand that you’re self-conscious and there’s no quick fix to that. That’s why you must invest your time wisely into figuring out you are during these next few months and better yourself. I’ve had 6 interviews already and am going to have one tomorrow. You can choose not to interview but interviews are like one of the only ways to show interest. I’m not a hooked applicant or anything but each of my interviews was great and relaxing because I made it them like that and you should too.
