Hi, I’m an EA applicant for the freshman class of 2024. During the EA selection process, I wasn’t offered an interview.
Can anybody provide some insight as to whether or not I’m still eligible for consideration for an interview in the regular action process? Can I still be offered an interview, or am I out of contention now that I wasn’t offered one in the EA process?
Thanks, and good luck to all of my fellow applicants!
Some areas do not have enough alumni volunteers (ECs) to handle the number of applicants to provide all of them interviews. Send an email to the admissions office stating that you were an EA applicant and did not get an interview. Ask that you get an interview in the RD round, if possible.
Interviews are not required but do give you a chance to find out more about MIT and they about you, so very useful to have one.
