umm, good shoot. not great just because your an international. as a us citizen applying with those stats you would be in at at least one of hyps/wharton and probably sloan and stern

If you were a resident or citizen, very high chances
But the int'l pool is very competitive.
I think your talented forex trader is a very attractive hook tho
Good luck.

gday mate,
i reckon u probably have a good chance too...cant tell you much since i'm in melbourne and about as clueless as you.
Which school did you go to?
BTW: Australian School Rankings are thus:
1.Scotch College, Melbourne, 2.Melbourne Grammar School, 3.Melbourne High School, 4.Geelong Grammar School, 5.Sydney Boys High School, 6.Wesley College, 7.Shore, 8.Fort Street Boys' High, 9.North Sydney Boys High School, 10.Sydney Grammar School

I go to Melbourne High, so i hope they know about these rankings :)...

I reckon your apps really strong...for the GPA...i just used my tertiary ranking...so in ur case its probably best to use the HSC results...for ex: my ENTER was 99.9 on the 99.95 scale so my teachers just used that on my forms...since you are Ranked 1...i would make sure u give a GPA...

We also have a similar accomplishment...ur a FOREX trader whereas I tend to start business...had one towards the end of year 11 where I made a profit of $18,000 with a capital of $600...
also had a cricket-bat business...
so they are my most valued accomplishments....

i reckon u should make Wharton and Stern, but HYPS and MIT are really hard...and very much depend on your references.

its awesome to finally have another aussie...
btw heres my email: sidforeva@hotmail.com i know its probably a bit late now...but itd be good to have a chat...

@Sidfromaus: those rankings are useless, and from 2001 i believe, the 2010 one from the Age is again useless
They don’t really rank people very well imho, its pretty much impossible to do that accurately hahaha i also dislike the hsc league tables cause they dont take ATAR they take a mark and count all units not your top 10
But, use it if it supports your school i guess :L

Focus on leadership activities and your passion for trading/business/finance in your essay. I think you have a solid chance at all those schools
