Intra-School Transfer

Hellooo
I am curious to know - if I was accepted to Steinhardt, but want to be in the CAS, how difficult is it to transfer before I get there in the fall?

And - am I more likely to be admitted if I choose a major in the CAS of if I select "undecided" ?

One more thing ... which is more competitive, admissions-wise ? Applied Psych in Steinhardt or Psych in CAS ?

Thank you in advance, I appreciate any and all advice.

mck : )

I honestly don't know if this is the correct information, but this is what I did. I applied to NYU for CAS, got accepted, and thought oops, I really want to be in Steinhardt. I probably realized this about two months after being accepted. When I went to research stuff about transferring within NYU, I just found that one needs to stay in his/her school for a year before transferring, so that is what I am currently doing. It's not really a big deal since you do your required classes first. You can then definitely transfer during your sophomore year. I've heard that it's not difficult, but hey, I have yet to actually complete the process, so I'll let you know later down the road. Let me know if you have any other questions. Hope that helped!
