<p>There really isn't intramural rowing. </p>
<p>I've talked to a few people and crew is a*BIG* commitment. However, since most high schools don't have crew teams, it is quite easy to be a walk-on, but you really have to be dedicated. It won't work out if you're just looking for something akin to a soccer club in order to keep casually active. If you want to be on crew you're really going to have to work hard.</p>

<p>You can definitely walk onto the crew team with no prior experience but it's a HUGE commitment, definitely the most of any sports team. Think 6 am practices (in and out of season), practices most/all days of the week, etc. I have a lot of freshmen and sophomore friends who have already dropped it. If it's not something you LOVE, I doubt you'll stick with it.</p>
<p>I've never heard of intramural golf...I think you'd be more interested in club, if that exists. I'm sure there are plenty of courses around the suburbs.</p>
