Intro Book for Electrical Engineering?

Hi,
I'm a junior in high school. After months of thinking I decided possibly on electrical engineering. I don't really know what exactly it's going to be like... Is there a good intro book that will introduce me to a little of everything about it? Including electronics, and even some technical math ****. Also any advice to an aspiring EE?

Thanks!

The Art of Electronics is a great electronics textbook. As for advice, every engineer I have talked with says that liking math really helps for EE.

the art of electronics is probably too advanced...

yes! Horrowitz and Hill is a really great book on introductory electronics. I don't think its too advanced. It starts out with the basics, but it gets heavy quickly so watch out. Its a really great reference to have for all levels of EE

this is what we had to use @ ucsd for the very first course

the book for the "weeder class" lol:

I would just go to radio shack and buy a electronics lab kit, I think thats the best way to get an into.

Huh. That electronics kit sounds like a good idea. I think I'll do that over the summer.
