My community college is offering linear algebra for 4 weeks during the winter intersession. I was wondering how hard or easy was linear algebra was for you guys and how would it be in 4 weeks if you have ever taken it before.
I haven’t taken linear yet, but I’ve heard it’s not quite as hard as someone of the lower level math classes (calc 2 and diffy q) but it’s no slouch either. If I were you I wouldn’t do it in 4 weeks unless you have nothing but time to do it, it’s your terminal math course, and you’re exceptional at math.
If you don’t take any other classes and have lots of time to devote to the class, it’s OK to do it in a month. When I took it, the first half of the class was all about matrix operations, which wasn’t that hard. The second half was very theoretical, and I had a lot of grief with that.
