Intro to Microeconomics or Macroeconomics?

I'm not too fond of math, but I have to take one of these to fulfill a requirement. Are either of these very heavy on math? Is one easier than the other, and which one do you think should I take first? (This would be during fall semester freshman year)

Thanks!

Micro is more specific than macro, dealing with firms and the people
Macro is more concerned with government policies, banks, and other general things
personally I would do micro first cuz it was very strightforward and not particularly difficult.

Neither of those courses involve heavy math and should involve basic algebra at most. Whichever one you take will really depend on your interests. Macro is what tends to be very common in major events, though.

In my opinion, macro is better for understanding economic items in the news, but micro provides more useful economic insights.
