Intro to Philosophy vs. History of Modern Philosophy

I'm taking Summer Session II in order to get some GE's out of the way, and I'm debating back and forth between taking either Intro to Phil or History of Modern Philosophy.

I originally wanted to take modern philosophy, because I already had some background on ancient philosophy. Also, I heard some really good reviews about the teacher. It said though that the class recommends taking phil 11 or 12 as a background.

Does that mean I'll have a significantly more difficult time if I hadn't taken those class? Should I just take intro? The only thing about intro was that the reviews about the teacher were less than overwhelming.

What do you guys think?

summer session 2 starts august 3rd.

Have you enrolled already? Well to be honest, social sciences like philosophy and stuff are really easy so which ever you take will go by smooth.

See you on campus !
