Hey aqaqaq, cncm and weirdone, I'm from toronto as well! I'm also chinese (born in beijing), albeit very whitewashed, since I left china for NYC when i was 7. I really hope to return to NYC (toronto is great, but i think i have NYC engrained in me from growing up there), so i am applying to Columbia ED. My interests are reading (I love victorian novels), writing, and basketball. I've applied to three ivies and 1 LAC, as well as U of T, McGill, and Queen's. My SAT I scores are 770 V, 740 M. I plan on going to family law in the future.

What high schools do u guys go to? I attend WL Mackenzie. Nice meeting you all! :)

AYJacksoooon! Jaguars RULE!
Have you Torontonians been contacted for ED interviews yet?
I'm so nervous, my Princeton interview is THIS week!
eeeks

aqaqaq, I have some friends in AY, and I've heard nice things about your school (unlike my school...BLEH).

I had my Columbia interview two weeks ago; it was very casual, and wasn't stressful at all. I think the interviewer will try his/her best to make you feel comfortable. I actually enjoyed my interview very much, and after an hour of talking to the alumna, I loved Columbia even more.

Don't be nervous (yes, I know, easier said than done) and just be yourself! I'm sure you'll do great! :D
