Inverse

Can someone please describe the term "inverse" for the SAT math?

I get directly, just not inverse. Thanks!

Inverse relations generally mean something along the lines of y=1/x. Of course, the number on top doesn't have to be one, and you can add constants and stuff, so...

The general idea is, if one number goes up while the other goes down, it's inverse ^^ Much easier to think of it that way

Ok, thanks

=]

x1y1=x2y2 *the numbers are subscripts

That's another way of saying the same thing, just more complex (with all those fancy subscripts ^^), so I figured I'd explain the easier one =D

No problemo! I'm glad I could be of help ^^
