I am planning to go to Michigan as a Econ/Math double major in the near future. My question is: do IB companies (Goldman Sachs, UBS, etc) hire economics majors directly out of college like they do to those with BBA's (Bachelor's in Business Administration)? All assuming good GPA, of course. I'd like to be an investment banker, but it is hard for me to fit a triple major in (with a BBA), as I do not want to stray from economics and math, subjects which I am passionate for.

A lot of top colleges don't have a Business Administration major--those interested in business majors take econ. So an economics/math major is seen as perfectly fine for top-drawer IB firms.
