I live in Iowa so Iowa state is much cheaper. I just want to know if IIT's worth paying extra money or are the two schools academically comparable. I hope to go to graduate school after graduating so I kind of want a feel for how reputable/ how sucessful in placing people in grad schools both schools are. Sorry for the helter skelter sentence structure of this question. I know what I'm trying to ask but its not coming out right. Thank you.

If you are looking ahead to grad school placement, there are a lot of variables to consider. Among them:

What is your intended undergraduate major?

What is your intended graduate field of study?

What are the graduation statistics for your intended undergraduate program at each of the colleges/universities that you are looking at (how many graduate in 4, 5, and 6 years)?

If you decide not to go to grad school, what are the job placement statistics for your intended major at each of the colleges/universities that you are looking at?

What are the grad school placement statistics for your intended undergraduate program at each of the colleges/universities that you are looking at? How many of those graduates get into grad school, and just exactly where?

How will you pay for your undergraduate program?

How will you pay for your graduate program?
Hint: If it is in the sciences and you aren’t awarded a tuition waiver and a teaching/research assistantship big enough to cover your living expenses, don’t go to that university.

How much total debt are you likely to come out of your undergraduate and graduate educations with under various scenarios? How will you pay that off?

You can find some of the answers to these questions by reading the university websites. Others, you will have to ask directly of the specific departments.

Good luck with the research!
