CSU(in-state) vs IowaState(out-state)

So I got accepted to
=Iowa State
=CPPomona
=SJSU
=CalLongBeach

I am not sure if I received the so called financial aid packets but ISU gave me something about OOS scholarship + another one but is that it.

So, is it worth the money to go to another state because ISU seem to be way better than any CSU
and I might have a better chance to go to a good grad school in ISU if I'm will really be interested.

Please help me here (I could ask someone in school - spring break)

You got into some good Cal States with strong engineering programs. I assume engineering is your intended major based on your school choices.

I’d say if you want to save money and eventually want to stay and work in CA, I would choose a Cal State.
If you want to go out of state and try some new environment, and the costs aren’t too much different, go ahead and choose Iowa State. I would wait for financial aid packets before making a final decision.

Engineering employers will pay nearly the same for a graduate from any university. Therefore, you don’t want to go into huge debt for your degree because it will be a poor return on investment, especially if you have cheaper in-state options.
