I am struggling to decide between the University of Iowa and Temple University for pre-med studies. Does anyone have any input on the quality of classes and programs that could help me choose which one would be better? (Just looking to know about the program. Not taking cost into consideration yet.)
“Pre-med Studies” is not really a major. What do you want your major to be?
It doesn’t really matter - honestly, both are great universities and you can get an excellent education at either. Do you have a preference based on other factors? Iowa and Temple are in pretty different settings
Why do you have to decide now?
What are our stats and what does the NPC say about each?
Do you qualify for honors at both?

The answer will depend on you - your stats/academic profile, your budget, whether you can get in to the honors college at either one…
The two schools are entirely different types of areas. Besides the programs at the school, you may want to explore the campus and the surrounding areas. You’ll be living there for 4 years and should feel comfortable in the environment.
They’re both fine schools. I’d suggest considering cost and fit. At this level of school, getting into medical school is mostly a game of numbers. Your GPA, MCAT, extracurriculars and the interview.
The most important thing to focus on is working on good study skills and to find your rhythm of work.
