It would let me load topics, I get only as far as the forum topics, but when I click on it to read the threads, it crashes.

That happened all the time for me once I switched to ios6. I changed to the tapatalk app and haven’t had any trouble, plus I get the full screen on the iPhone 5 for viewing.
I have the 6.0 also. But did you upload the 6.0.1 because I haven’t yet. Perhaps that is why also?
We’ve had some people say that the upgrade to iOS 6 is causing issues, deleting and re-installing the app should fix the problem. Let me know if the problem persists after a re-install.
I’ve deleted and reinstalled and so far, so issues. Will let you if there are any, but so far so good. Thanks!!
