Ipods

some idiot stole my ipod mini ... which i was very attached to.
my dad got a free shuffle from his work ... which i listened to, but i like keeping all my music, so i hated the storage.
and i recently got a video, i hardly listen to it as much as i listened to my mini.

"OMG MINE IS TOO!!!!!!! LITERALLY, MY IPOD IS NAMED STEVE!!!!!!!!!!!"

AHHH! They're long-lost twins!!! You made my day. It makes me smile to think that, yes, there ARE other people who name their ipods Steve =)

But... sadly... Steve died today. I was running on my treadmill... picked him up... and then he split in two!!! Luckily, with my amazing geeky skills, I managed to put all of the tiny metal pieces back in the right places... but the click wheel still doesn't work (you can select things, but it doesn't scroll). I can still KIND of use it, but I can't adjust the volume, so it's permanently loud =( I'm hoping that when I come home tonight, Steve will have magically healed himself...

aww.

Hermes is doing great. I think he gave me a headache though on the bus. I really shouldn't try watching Moulin Rouge while already nauseous.

...and he's only a baby.

lesOs- steve can be replaced for only $80. Just go to the apple store and say the battery is dead. Oh and by the way that you described it it sounds like you have a 4th gen, not a 3rd. You have a click wheel?

I love my ipod. Seriously.

I have 2 and I love the new shuffle.

all the cool people have them.

The sound quality just isn't there for me. I use real headphones (Sennheiser HD650s) and the iPod just doesn't have the power to drive them. Then again, I usually listen on a very expensive, audiophile grade system.

I think iPods make people anti-social...you just put your phones in and tune out the rest of the world. Do you really need to listen to music for that 3 minute walk across campus or while you're grocery shopping? I listen to music more than anyone I know, probably 6 hours a day, and even I don't feel the need to hear it when I'm buying my Rice Krispies.

I'm in love with mine. I've got two of them now. I've had my 4th gen. U2 iPod, Belvedere, for a few years now, but a) it was getting pretty cratched up and 2) my computer crashed, and if I would've plugged it back in to upload new songs I would've lost 2500 songs that I didn't have saved elsewhere, so I got a new green Nano last month, Napoleon.

Personally, I'm a huge fan of the Nano. It's not hard to cut it down to 1000 songs you REALLY listen to, and it's small enough to take with me when I go running.

I only use my ipod when I'm doing homework, on a long car trip, or running. Otherwise, I play music out of speakers. I'm not one of the people who listens to their ipod in between classes, etc.

Oh. Maybe I do have a 4th gen. ipod. I bought it off of eBay, and the seller said it was 3rd generation... but it was EBAY, so that info probably isn't too reliable =)

I would feel so sad trading in Steve. Actually, I've already traded in Steve- my ipod now is Steve II (I didn't have to pay any money- they just took my old ipod and gave me a new one!). It would be pretty pathetic if I had to move on to Steve III. I'm an ipod killer... ah!

haha..i'm on Steve II as well. Steve I's battery decided to die on me so i had to get it replaced. I decided since i was spending $80 on a new ipod i should go ahead and buy an ihome while i was at the store. Little did i know the black ones don't work with 3rd gens so i'm pretty much screwed as far as stereo's go.

Speaking of batteries dying, I think i need to get a Kevin II. My laptop used to hold 4 hours of battery power. It now holds a half hour. Same with my phone. It used to hold 3 days worth of charge, it now shuts off after about 6 hours.

Well, we can hold a virtual funeral for Steve II and Kevin II...

I have a blue iPod nano, and I have no idea what i would do without it. I love is SOOO much!

black video 30gb, and a 3rd gen that is extremely temperamental and only used for file storage nowadays (someday i'll get trudy fixed and be really oldschool)...can't live without the ipod. ahh.

Agh! I found a scratch on my iPod's screen. Darn manufacturers.

I?ve got a black ipod nano and i think there really usefull for studying and reading. I think ipod nanos are better than video because they are smaller, more comftorble and preatier.

I hate ipod they are the worse

i love ipods especially video!

I have a mini Ipod (yeah they're gone now), I got it almost two years ago and I have to say it's lasted. The battery still lasts for a good amount of time, the songs still play, nothing freezes, great condition!

i-pods are the best invention. It is helpful for many things like school, airplanes, etc. I have the nano but I wish I had bought the video because I cant put any more of my music.
