What gov't agencies recruit @ GW. How many students go into the Foreign Service, or do other IR related things. How helpful is GW in getting you a job?

In my experience, I've seen State, Defense, the White House, DIA, all branches of military service, the CIA, the FBI, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, the DOJ, and I'm sure others had a recruiting event on campus.

I've been in contact with one of our alums who is a foreign service officer and he said within his diplomatic class, there was a very large number of GW grads (from undergrad to post-graduate) even more than other DC schools. This is very impressive of GW, but it could also be very unique of his diplomatic class. I have no idea if State published that sort of information.

The Career Center launches two Career Campaigns in both semesters to assist seniors in prepping to enter the work force. They host sessions on networking, interview prep, and employer information session. They also host networking nights where students can meet many alum, network, and hopefully pick up a job. These nights have been hosted in DC, New York, Philadelphia and Los Angeles and are open to students of all majors.

Remember, getting a job involves more effort on your behalf than the university's.
